When her elderly mother dies – apparently happy but in curious circumstances – her daughter travels home to Naples for the funeral. Staying on, she tries to piece together her mother’s recent life. In doing so she starts to confront childhood memories that shaped the family history.

L’Amore Molesto won 3 David di Donatello Awards for Best Actress, Best Director and Best Supporting Actress.

Mario Martone was born on November 20, 1959 in Naples. He is known for Leopardi (2014), We Believed (2010) and Morte di un matematico napoletano (1992).

Nick Walker is a freelance film programmer and is also the founder and Director of Rochester Kino.
