• Liaise with Clients by usual means
• Prepare and arrange renewal slips (includes obtaining proposal forms), cover notes, debit notes, policies and endorsements for binding authority and line slip bordereaux
• Prepare broking presentations for new and renewal business (includes liaising with clients in order to obtain the relevant information) and slip endorsements as required
• Prepare Cover and Debit Notes, register Binding Authorities, liaise with X-Changing and other Lloyd’s and company offices and bureaux
• Prepare, arrange and check signing slips (including existing, new business, renewals and policy adjustments), proposal forms and full policy schedules, Market Reform Contract (MRC) wordings and endorsements
• Provide clients with quotations, indications or details of terms and conditions as required, liaising with brokers and/or directly with underwriters and dealing with resulting queries
• Liaise with accounts department regarding payment of premium to market and bureau and assist them with any queries and in addition dealing with premium signing queries from the bureau or underwriters
• Organise and maintain an efficient archiving system

Knowledge and Experience
• Minimum 1-year experience within the Technical Department of a Lloyd’s broker, syndicate, insurance company
• Fluency in English (C1) and Italian (C1)
• Knowledge of the practices and processes of the Lloyd’s and London insurance markets
• Experience and understanding of the insurance classes of business in which the post holder is to specialise
• Knowledge of the legal principles governing insurances
• Knowledge of the FSA regulatory framework governing insurance brokers
• Knowledge of and fluency in personal computer operating systems/application software (e.g. Microsoft Office suite)
